Getting Started
When will Qaswa Connect be available to download?
Qaswa Connect is currently in development and will be launching soon on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Sign up on our homepage to be notified as soon as the app is available for download.
Is Qaswa Connect free to use?
Yes, Qaswa Connect is completely free to download and use. There are no subscription fees or hidden charges. The app is funded to serve the Muslim community and strengthen the connection between masjids and their members.
How do I find my local masjid on the app?
After enabling location services, Qaswa Connect will automatically show nearby masjids. You can also search for specific masjids by name or browse by city. Once you find your masjid, tap "Connect" to start receiving updates and notifications.
What devices are supported?
Qaswa Connect will be available on iOS (iPhone) and Android devices. We recommend using the latest operating system version for the best experience.
Prayer Times
How accurate are the prayer times?
Prayer times displayed in Qaswa Connect are sourced directly from each masjid. Masjid administrators update their prayer and iqamah times within the app, ensuring you always have the most accurate schedule. We recommend confirming with your masjid for any special circumstances.
Can I receive prayer time notifications?
Yes, you can enable notifications for prayer times and iqamah schedules. Go to Settings > Notifications in the app and select which prayer times you would like to be notified about. You can customize notifications for each prayer individually.
Donations
How secure are donations made through the app?
All donations are processed through Stripe, a leading payment processor trusted by millions of businesses worldwide. Your payment information is encrypted and never stored on our servers. Stripe is PCI Level 1 compliant, the highest level of security certification.
Can I get a receipt for my donations?
Yes, you will receive an email receipt for every donation you make through Qaswa Connect. You can also view your complete donation history within the app under Profile > Donation History. Please consult with your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your donations.
Can I set up recurring donations?
Yes, Qaswa Connect supports recurring donations. When making a donation, you can choose to make it a one-time or recurring contribution on a weekly, monthly, or custom schedule. You can manage or cancel recurring donations at any time through your profile settings.
Account
How do I reset my password?
To reset your password, tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen and enter your registered email address. You will receive a password reset link via email. If you do not receive the email within a few minutes, please check your spam folder or contact our support team.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account by going to Settings > Account > Delete Account within the app. Please note that this action is permanent after 30 days and will remove all your data including donation history and community connections. If you need assistance, contact us at support@qaswaconnect.com.
Masjid Admins
How can our masjid join Qaswa Connect?
We welcome all masjids to join Qaswa Connect. Visit our Contact page or email us at support@qaswaconnect.com with your masjid details. Our team will guide you through the onboarding process, which includes setting up your masjid profile, prayer times, and event management.
Is there a cost for masjids to use the platform?
Qaswa Connect is free for masjids to use. Our mission is to strengthen Muslim communities, and we believe that should come at no financial barrier. There is a small 2.5% platform fee on donations plus standard Stripe processing fees, which is standard for all payment processing.
Privacy & Data
How do I request my data or ask for it to be deleted?
Email privacy@qaswaconnect.com with your request. We'll verify your identity by confirming the email address on your donation records and respond within 30 days. You can request: a copy of your donation history, corrections to your information, or deletion of your personal data. When you request deletion, we anonymize your name and email in our records but retain donation amounts and dates for 7 years as required by IRS regulations for 501(c)(3) organizations.
What happens when my data is deleted?
Your name is replaced with "Deleted Donor" and your email is cryptographically hashed (cannot be reversed). We also request deletion of your Stripe customer record. A confirmation email is sent before your email is removed. Donation amounts and dates are retained for tax compliance for up to 7 years, then permanently deleted.
Does Qaswa Connect sell my personal information?
No. Qaswa Connect does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or any other purpose. We only share data with service providers (like Stripe for payments) as necessary to operate the platform.
